We are a small team of talented professionals with a wide range of skills and experience. We love what we do, and we do it with passion. We are excited to be a part of Lloydminster’s elementary schools and the border city community.

All SHINE Coaches are certified mindful educators through MindfulSchools.org.

Melody Oliver

SHINE Program Manager

Melody is excited about managing our, new to Lloydminster program, in support of our communities Mental Health Capacity building. In working in intervention with Children and families within the field of counselling for the previous 15 years, she is excited to now work in developing programming for prevention.

Mira McLennan

SHINE Wellness Coach – St. Thomas School & Rendell Park School

Mira wants to create therapeutic and calm classroom environments, allowing students to feel comfortable and safe. Mira’s degree in Child and Youth Care has grown her interest in mental health, child and adolescent development and life space work. Mira values being strength based with a focus on gratitude, working to empower those she serves, and creating supportive relationships with children, youth and families.

Falon Willis

SHINE Wellness Coach – St. Mary’s School, Winston Churchill School & Queen Elizabeth School

Falon is passionate about our brain body connections, and sharing her knowledge of how time spent in nature can be healing.  Falon’s degree in Child Development and background in psychology have led her to recognize the value in teaching children how to recognize how their thoughts can impact their behaviors and choices.   She is determined to foster ways in which we can empower youth to realize their potential to create meaningful change and connections in their homes, schools and communities.

Jen Hannotte

SHINE Wellness Coach – Jack Kemp School, Father Gorman School & Barr Colony School

Jen’s passions are mindfulness, affirmations and intention setting. Jen has her Bachelor of Social Work and over 13 years experience working in a school setting. She loves teaching students about mindfulness and positive affirmations to train their brain to focus on the good to build resiliency.  As a SHINE coach, Jen values being in a setting where she can put her passions to practice and share them with the students.

Tina Rak

SHINE Wellness Coach – Mother Theresa, Winston Churchill & Queen Elizabeth School

Tina is passionate about teaching students gratitude and mindfulness.  Tina has an Early Childhood education background and experience supporting families in crisis.  Tina is looking forward to creating a safe and calm environment for students to learn and explore.

Heather Carroll

SHINE Wellness Coach – College Park School, St. Mary’s School, St. Joseph’s School

Heather’s passion is ensuring children feel safe. Finding safe and helpful ways of learning how to cope with the stressors of life.  She is excited to use her education in Early Learning and Childcare and Child and Youth Care Counseling, to help the students find strength within themselves and learn how powerful they can be.
